New baseboards after new flooring
A new floor is a common reason for the call. Old baseboard rarely survives being pulled in one piece, and a new floor often sits at a different height, which leaves a gap along the bottom. We scribe the base where the floor dips and add shoe molding or quarter round where a floating floor needs room to expand. The base is never nailed down into a floating floor, or the floor can't move and it buckles.
